We are part of the solution

Today more than ever, it is clear that the world needs to change its outdated business models for newer ones that are more inclusive, respectful and democratic, and that maximise opportunities and are willing to take risks to be part of the solution.

We believe that each industry must take responsibility and be committed on a social and environmental level, which is why we place sustainability at the heart of our group. We are building a sustainable business model, one that is capable of generating social, environmental and economic well-being and that, in turn, creates long-term value for shareholders and increases the competitiveness of the company.

We want to foster positive changes in the fashion industry and promote a global balance that meets the needs of future generations.

We are implementing systems capable of explaining the history of our fabrics and garments throughout the entire value chain. Thanks to these, we can trace, for example, the origin of the raw materials used or determine which supplier has carried out a certain textile process.

The objective is to ensure compliance with fundamental ethical and sustainability standards. For this reason, we work with numerous certifications that guarantee the transparency of our work and that of our suppliers.

At Akaya Textile transparency, openness, and orderliness in the way we do things are key elements of our approach to responsible production of textiles. Through our commitment to sustainability, we believe that we can be a driving force in setting new standards for how clothing is made – across the entire value chain. This also include the procurement of our raw materials, fabrics and our paper, paperboard and packaging.

Protecting Ancient and Endangered Forests is an essential part of protecting the world’s limited forest resource and wildlife. Forests are capturing large amounts of carbon from the atmosphere, provide habitats for animals and livelihoods for humans, protect soil erosion, and are thereby a major contributor to reducing climate change.
